Arts & Music

Clyde America is home to a wealth of artists and various avenues for individual expression. The Oak Street Gallery opened downtown in 2010 and Galleria Mia opened in early 2011.

Clyde is home to several professional photographers, blacksmith Dan Cochran, painter Emilie LeBlanc, and jewelry designer Vicki Deeds Davis. Other artists who live and work in Clyde America include (nationally known) Nic Noblique and Pamela Gilbreth Watkins.

As Clyde America's visual arts scene is expanding, so too is the music scene. Downtown Clyde is home to two professional recording studios, the Glass Jar Studio and Fly Boy Studio, owned by "Billboard Number One" singer/songwriter (and Clyde native), Elliott Park.  Clyde's Lake Fest, each July, is host to two days of live music out at Clyde Lake featuring bands from all across Texas.

Nationally syndicated radio host D. Grant Smith records his weekly NPR show, The Appetizer, right here in Clyde America.
