Citizens EMS was established in 1976 and is located at 815 South 2nd Street. 

 Our office is open to the public from 9am - 4pm Monday through Friday.  We have eight full-time staff and a total of twenty-two employees who work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year to serve over 700 square miles in Callahan County.

 We currently have three Ambulances, two with MICU capability, and one that is ALS capable. Our service also provides transfers from hospital to hospital, hospital to home, and hospice transports. 

 A wide variety of educational programs are also offered at CEMS. 

 Free helmets are available in our office for our bike riders and skaters. Anyone under 16 years of age is required by City Ordinance 2005-002 to wear a helmet while biking or skating and all are encouraged to wear one for safety.
