City Secretary

   C. JEAN GILMORE,  Clyde City Secretary

Jean Gilmore has been serving as Clyde's City Secretary since March 1993 and has lived in Clyde America since 1977. She is a 1971 graduate of Cooper High School in Abilene. Although Jean grew up in an Air Force family and has lived all over the United States, Texas has always been home. She loves Clyde and the comradery of the people who live here. Jean has a special interest in Clyde's Cemetery, and coupled with her affinity for genealogy, would like to set up an online database that will connect Clyde's past with its present.

The City Secretary's Office is responsible for the preservation of city records, including but not limited to, minutes, ordinances, resolutions and agendas.  The preservation is in compliance with a Records Management Program mandated by State law and adopted by City Ordinance.  The City Secretary's Office maintains City Council minutes.  The City Secretary’s Office conducts municipal elections in accordance with local and State law.
