In the City of Clyde, Texas, Municipal Court is held Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00am and 6:00pm.
Juveniles: Defendants under the age of 17 MUST APPEAR in person, accompanied by a parent or guardian. This appearance is by appointment and will normally be on a Tuesday at 9:00am. Call the Court to schedule your appointment.
Payment of your fines: The City of Clyde accepts cash, personal checks, money orders, cashiers checks, and credit cards (subject to a 3.5% processing fee) for the payment of fines. Payment may also be made online at www.trafficpayment.com
Payment is due on your Appearance Date unless arrangements are made in writing by this date.

COURTS Q & A
1. Do I qualify for Defensive Driving?
You may take a Driver's Safety Course (DSC) to dismiss your ticket if you meet the following criteria:
a. You have not taken DSC for ticket dismissal in the last 12 months.
b. You have a valid Texas driver's license or are "active military".
c. Your driver's license is not a CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
d. Affidavit with required accompanying documents are postmarked to the Court on or before your appearance date.

2. Can I pay my ticket online?
Yes. You may pay your ticket online at www.trafficpayment.com
You will need your citation number and the amount of your fine. If you are unaware of this amount, please call the court.
3. How do I dispute my ticket?
A written plea must be submitted to the Court in order to dispute your ticket. Upon entering a plea of Not Guilty, your case will be set for a Pre-Trial Conference with the City Attorney. If you live more than 60 miles outside of Clyde, this Conference may take place over the telephone.
4. Can I speak to the Judge?
After you have entered a written plea of No Contest or plea of Guilty you may request an appointment with the Judge. Appointments are usually set for Tuesday mornings at 9am and are not conducted by telephone. Contact the Court for an appointment.
5. How do I find out if there is a Warrant out for my arrest?
Just call the Court during regular business hours. We are ready to answer any questions you have about your citation or disposition in this Court.
